Penang - 2015

A short trip to Penang just to celebrate my husband's birthday. it was during Ramadhan month means a fasting month for Muslims and we were worried at first not being able to find a place to eat in daytime. but then, we notice most of the shops operate as usual and we glad we made that trip.

Most of the tour place is less crowded than usual which ease our travel and sightseeing.

its a 3 days 2 nights trip and just enough to go round some Penang highlights.

Day 1

Flight from Subang to Penang is less than an hour. once reach penang, our car rental which was booked earlier was waiting for us. we took over and straight drive to hotel to check in. the time was around 2 pm and we were all hungry.

upon entering our room, we found the management of the hotel have taken note of my husband's birthday and prepare a medium slice of cake fully complementary, yes and with a Happy Birthday note. I rate them 5/5 for their customer care and service.

we ordered our food while enjoying the complimentary fruit cake, get ready and go for a splash session with a full tummy. the swimming pool there stretched over the 2 ends of the hotel, but we just play at kids pool and man made beach. further walk, we can see the real beach but there were boards to warn people that swimming is dangerous as  there are jelly fishes.

at night, we go for food hunting and walk at town

Day 2

head to the famous Penang Hill. we missed this during our visit 2 years ago as it was too crowded.
this time as it was Ramadhan month, very few visitors and we even don't have to queue to buy the ticket. less than 5 minutes, we already at top of the hill.

the weather up above is quite cold and luckily we bought or jackets. we were amazed to see some locals climbing the hill as their daily exercise routine.

we visited few places like Owls museum, hindu temple, hill cafes before heading back.

our second destination is to visit the petting zoo at Seberang Perai. we could just drive trough the new bridge, instead, we took the ferry with cars - just to experience.

before this, we took this type of ferry at Kerala, India and is was more interesting as we can watch dolphins jumping there. haha

petting zoo was filled with many types of animals and junior enjoys watching and feeding them.

thereafter, we headed back to hotel, along the way we stopped for dinner. at night we enjoyed a rocking session at lobby.

Day 3

after breakfast, just took few photo's around the hotel, then went for another splashing before we pack up and head back home.

we were asked to make ultraman and tiger stunt by junior 😁

bye bye Penang.. will come back soon.
