Travelled to Melaka just to have short breakaways for school holiday. Looking for food in Melaka is easy especially with our technologies nowadays like waze, blogs made by food lovers all over😬 but it need some local people to really suggest the best of the best food. Hence I seek upon a friend in Melaka for his opinion on the best food for lunch. Of course we are only be staying for 1 night here, hence we want to try something different this time.
We stopped at Rumah Melaka cafe not because it was recommended by the friend, but because we can't last any longer, we were starving and to get to batu berendam, it was like about 35 minutes drive not include the traffic, and some more the outlook of the cafe really attracts me. It looks like traditional and historical Malaysian home.
Looks majestic with its pointy roof and raised entrance. The grass were neatly dressed and surrounded with bushy trees. Well kept as small museum 🤠
Lunch was served at RM10 per pax, there were about 14 dishes to choose and free flow of sirap limau. Food taste as catering but it's enough to fill the hungry stomach. "Later we hunt for home cook type of food" says Mr Husband. All right boss, after all, we have our whole day here at Melaka.
After filling the stomach tank with fuel enough to move around, we stood and walk around to see the uniqueness of the place. We note that the cafe house was connected to another 2 houses which are being used as exhibition hall for Malaysian famous non-timber and event hall. Yes, I told you it looks like museum from outside, yes it is a small museum for wood collectors. Quite knowledgeable place to be.
The walk away corridor from the cafe to the non-timber exhibition hall.
Some of the products made by non-timber woods are for sale as well.
4 types of balak displayed. Junior thought it was seats and happily climbing them to sit 😂
Some of the displayed item in the exhibition. Some made to be furnitures and some for decoration purposes.
Beautiful artwork. I realized how rich our heritage actually is, all of what we didn't learn in school. Junior didn't really learn much as he is still young to realize the beauty of art and craft as I do, what to expect from 5 year old kid. At that age, I was throwing stones over the river with friend at village.🤣
