My simple recipe as below.
Things to prepare;
- 6 small onions, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 string curry leave
- 3 pieces of chicken (medium or large cut)
- Green chilly~ cut into half and remove the seeds
- Small piece of ginger, sliced
- A pinch of mustard seed
- Garlic + ginger paste, 2 spoon
- A cup of water
- Pinch of salt
- Coconut or olive oil
- 1 Potato, cut into cubes
- Chilly paste ~ normally I use Adabi or Puteri brand
Method
- Clean the chicken, add the garlic and ginger paste and let it soaked for 20 minutes
- Then, pour oil on a pot, place the pinch of mustard seed, let it pop
- Put the sliced onion, fry until slight brown
- Put the sliced garlic, ginger, curry leaves and potato. Stir a while, then put the soaked chicken pieces
- Stir the chicken in the oil, then add the chilly paste to it (about 3 full spoon), stir until the paste thickens
- Thereafter, pour the cup of water to the pot, half covering the chicken, add salt to taste and close it with lid.
- Make sure to put medium or low fire and let it to cook for 15 minutes, with stirring every 3 minutes.
Yeah, chicken sambal is ready to taste 😋
